#Trailblazing125 reaches one million viewers

Our social media campaign to celebrate 125 years of Women's Suffrage in New Zealand has been a huge success.  We reached over one million people on Facebook.

  • The campaign had over 500,000 video views on Facebook alone (including Stuff's post).
  • The campaign had over 100,000 video views on Instagram.
  • The campaign was shared over 2,000 times on Facebook and retweet-ed over 1,000 times on Twitter.
  • UN Women NZ's social media following over doubled in a month: from a combined following of 3,200 to 7,800.
  • The campaign was shared across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter by Helen Clark, the New Zealand Labour Party, Stuff.co.nz, Dame Valerie Adams, Georgia Fowler, Eat My Lunch, Parris Goebel, UN Women and more - with a combined following of more than 4 million.
  • The campaign conversation was also referenced by Christine Amanpour in her interview with the Prime Minister on CNN.

As you can see, we are very proud to have celebrated this important anniversary and brought our trailblazing women to a such a large and new audience.
