“Achieving Gender Equality: Why SDG5 matters”.

Attached are:

  • The agenda for this meeting (2016).
  • The minutes of the last annual general meeting (2015).
  • Board nomination memo.
  • Board nomination form.
  • Appointment of Proxy form.
  • Proposal of Honorary Membership to UN Women National Committee Aotearoa New Zealand for Liz Brown and Beryl Anderson.
  • UN Women Presidents Report for 2016.

At the meeting, members will have the opportunity to:

  • Find out about UN Women National Committee Aotearoa New Zealand’s operations and finances.
  • Ask questions about the operations and finances of UN Women National Committee Aotearoa New Zealand.  The audited annual financial statements will be available at the meeting.
  • Speak about any items on the agenda.
  • Vote on any resolutions proposed.

At the meeting, members will be asked to vote to:

  • Accept the minutes of the last annual general meeting.
  • Accept the annual report.
  • Accept the auditor’s report.
  • Accept the annual financial statements.
  • Appoint an auditor.
  • Elect National Board members for 2016 - 2017.

The following special resolution will be proposed at the Annual General Meeting:

  • Honorary Membership to UN Women National Committee Aotearoa New Zealand for Liz Brown and Beryl Anderson.

Maryan Street will be our Returning Officer.

Light refreshments will be served at the meeting.  Please contact the Administrator on info@unwomen.org.nz to advise of dietary requirements.

-    Fundraising ( Corporate partnerships; appeals)
-    Communications (newsletter; website; Facebook)
-    Branch representation
-    International Women’s Day
-    Advocacy – SDGs; CEDAW; HeForShe/White Ribbon 
-    Women’s Empowerment Principles
-    International activities ( MFAT meetings; Resolution 1325 and Pacific Projects)
-    Executive ( President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer )
